Swansea Building Society was founded in 1923. Its mission is to maintain and enhance its reputation as an independent financial institution in Wales, and its primary business is in the provision of loans for residential property – particularly in the South Wales area.

The Swansea Building Society is one of only three remaining mutual Building Societies in Wales and is the only Building Society or Bank with its headquarters in West Wales.
